Construction Engineer

The Construction Project Engineer I/II assists with planning and construction of measurement, regulation, pipeline and compression facilities. 

The main job responsibilities of the position are:

  • Assisting others in managing the work of contractors, inspectors and internal personnel to meet safety, cost, and schedule requirements
  • Assisting others in ensuring all work complies with my clients Design & Construction Standards and applicable Federal and environmental regulations
  • Providing field data used to develop project plans.  Assisting others in working with  Midstream Land, Environmental, Procurement and Engineering teams
  • Furnishing relevant data to others for completing management reports
  • Working with others to create and maintain project specific documentation during & following completion of the job
  • Achieving all  Midstream safety goals & milestones for all projects
  • Completing all budgets on time and within budget guidelines

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, chemical or related engineering field
  • 0-2 years of experience in construction or natural gas related industry
  • Basic computer skills and effective application of software programs
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written form, including technical writing
  • Knowledge of basic engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment
  • Ability to read architectural/construction drawings, specifications, codes, standards and regulatory requirements
  • Flexibility with working conditions & job locations
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time, with flexible work hours inclusive of weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in construction or natural gas related industry
  • EIT Certificate or Professional Engineer license
