Region Manager


Position Summary:  The Region Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing activities related to field operations and improvement projects in accordance with Company policies and procedures, customer requirements, labor laws, and budgeted costs. This position supervises logistics personnel and field personnel, ensuring that all operations proceed in a safe and cost-effective manner. The Region Manager is accountable for P&L and growth within the Region. The Region manager is required to have a high level of proficiency with customer and frontline operations. The Region extends from facilities in Western PA, to Eastern Ohio and West Virginia.  


Reporting To:  Corporate Operations Manager


Direct Reports to Region Manager:  Truck supervisors, Maintenance Manager, mechanics, truck drivers and other supervisors.


Areas of Responsibility


  • Manage, coordinate and delegate the work within the Region in the areas of:

    • waste management, pad support and fluid transportation

    • injury and accident claims prevention

    • determination of driver utilizations and manpower hours

    • staffing

    • equipment maintenance

    • risk management


  • Develop and maintain the Region operating budget and evaluate budgetary issues in coordination with senior management.


  • Define, document, and monitor key performance indicators for the Region


  • Ensure all operations comply with federal and state regulatory requirements.


  • Provide leadership and education in company zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.


  • Provide leadership in the areas of onboarding and training of all field personnel within the Region.


  • Support Sales efforts within the Region. Participate in joint sales calls and meetings when required.


  • Partner with Human Resources and the Safety Department to ensure compliance with company policies in regard to safety, hiring, termination of employees, performance appraisals, and external regulations.


  • Lead and develop supervision within the Region, including the establishment of key business objectives for team members


  • Hold effective operations and safety meetings with local management team and drivers.


  • Interact and problem solve with customers, drivers, and staff


  • Define, document, and monitor key performance indicators for the Region


  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude.


  • Provide utmost customer service.


  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including without limitation the Employee Handbook.


  • Follow all verbal and written directions of Corporate Operations Manager.


  • Perform other duties as assigned by Corporate Operations Manager.
