Research and Development Engineer for the mechanical, electromechanical, opto-mechanical, design and development of assemblies, components, fixtures and systems.
Engineers assigned to this area of research will complete mechanical alignment and mechanical hardware fabrication; optical and mechanical modeling and analysis (thermal, vibration, structural, optical) for system hardware and test assemblies and detailed drawings to document assembly and component and system configuration for internal and external customers.
Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field plus five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidates must be proficient in either ProEngineer or Solid Works.
- Previous LabVIEW and/or MATLAB experience preferred. Candidates selected will be subject to a government security investigation.
