This is a position that provides advanced support for project teams across multiple technical disciplines. This is a long term contract opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Development of concepts into designs with direct input from Engineering.
- Completion of Drawings and updates based on Change Orders Requests.
- Challenge the development of concepts and ensure the designs are able to be molded.
- Ability to provide input into a design and transform it from a concept into a completed assembly.
- Creativity, out of the box thinking, in the development of mechanical solutions
- Proficient in the application of a broad set of analytical and technical tools within a single technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, QA, V&V, etc). Developing the technical skills and knowledge to function in a second technical discipline.
- Continues to develop skills and knowledge in additional technical disciplines.
- Collaborates at a peer level with lead engineers and technical supervision. May interact with external suppliers.
- Possesses the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex, multi-faceted technical problems.
- Coordinated multiple concurrent projects that may impact several departments. Leads/drives broad scale technical activities as defined in specific role profile.
- May lead or supervise designer/technicians.
Technical/Behavioral Responsibilities:
- Proficient in ProEngineer is required
- Self Starting Attitude and a strong Understanding of Mechanical devices is desired
- Structural approach to development of a model and design is required
- Proficient in Drawing layouts and standards
- Familiarity with a Drawing Data base structure for storing models is preferred.
- Experienced in Solidworks and AutoCad are desirable.
- 9-15 years overall experience
- Associates Degree
